Baked Pear With Cinnamon

So baked pears are usually one of those things we don't often think of when we think of sweet treats but they're a really customisable dessert. I've got a list of baked pear and apple recipes as long as my arm that I want to share with you but first I'm sharing these super simple cinnamon pears because sometimes less is more. I used conference pears but any type of pear or apple will do.

Pears are high in fibre and vitamin C, they're also loaded with antioxidants. Fruit is high in natural sugars so when heated they need no help caramelizing and tasting almost like toffee! The added cinnamon in this recipe gives the dessert a warm yet autumnal feel that really gets you in the mood for mulled wine whatever the time of year! The best part of this dish is that it takes seconds to prepare, then you can chuck it in the oven and walk away until the timer beeps!

♥ 1 Conference pear

♥ 2 teaspoons of cinnamon

♥ 1 teaspoon sweetener (optional)




  1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Cut pear in half lengthways

  2. Place on baking tray and sprinkle with cinnamon and optional sweetener

  3. Bake in oven for 45-55 minutes or until golden and soft.
