Whilst I was planning my Mixed Bean Burger recipe page, I thought I must do a quick and easy fries (or chips, if you’re in the UK like me) recipe to go with these fantastic burgers. So here’s the equally fantastic Oil free Carrot Fries Recipe. Because this recipe is so quick, it also makes for a very short recipe. I’d love to try this recipe with rainbow carrots but I didn’t have much luck growing those this year. I’ll try again next year! The photo I have here does actually feature a few potato fries too, but they’re not as cool.

These chips use a BBQ seasoning that I have specially created myself, its really worth making and it only takes 5 minutes. Check out the recipe for my BBQ seasoning. Once you have your seasoning prepared you’re half way there. Cut your carrot into 1cm wide batons and place in a bowl or a zip-lock bag and spray or drizzle with water. The water is just to help the seasoning stick. Add a generous dose of BBQ seasoning, I usually add around a tablespoon but you can add as much or as little as you like and shake the bag or toss the vegetables around in the bowl until the chips are well coated. Transfer to a baking tray and bake for 20-30 minutes until crispy and brown on the corners.

If you try this Carrot Fries Recipe then please don’t forget to let me know your thoughts in the comments.
