What are potato wedges?
Potato wedges are kind of similar to fries, just so much better in every way. Leaving the skin on gives added nutrition and the thick chunks of potato are much better suited for dipping into a whole range of sauces. Potato wedges are best when they’re properly seasoned and pairing these wedges with HealthyHeartyWholesome’s Best Ever BBQ Seasoning is undoubtably the right choice. Check out the recipe linked throughout this page to make your own batch of BBQ seasoning. This potato wedges recipe serves 2 as a side.

Step 1: Cut the potato into wedges.
Making potato wedges is super easy, its all in the way you cut you’re potato. When you’re cutting fries you’re aiming for thinner long rectangles but for potato wedges you want a more triangular wedge shape. Cut your potato in half and then half again, if your potato is particularly large you may even want to cut your 1/4 of potato in half once more. from then on you want to place the potato skin side down and cut from the top of the wedge down the middle until you have wedges that have a thickness of 1-2cm on the skin side. A reasonable serving size should be around 200-300g of potato per person, i generally find 1 smaller potato is ideal so repeat as many times as needed. I used 2 potatoes for 2 servings. Preheat your oven to 180°c/355°f

Step 2: Season and bake the BBQ potato wedges
Now you need to transfer your potato wedges to a baking tray. Sprinkle over 1 1/2 teaspoons of HealthyHeartyWholesome’s BBQ seasoning for every potato used, in this case 2 potatoes so I added 3 teaspoons. Massage the seasoning into the wedges until well coated. Bake the potato wedges in the oven for 40 minutes turning half way.

Can i reheat or freeze these wedges?
I would not recommend reheating these wedges, as with most potato based snacks or sides, theyre best fresh. Theoretically you could reheat them in the microwave but I would expect them to become limp and soggy. For this reason, i would also not recommend freezing these wedges.
